I have never camped at the circuit myself although I have seen a number of the campsites situated near and around the circuit.  I will put together a new map(s) showing a wider area as soon as I can to include places where you can camp that are away from the circuit.

However below are details from some visitors to this website who kindly sent me some information.


We live near Dresden- on the Czech border so it’s a good 10 hours from here in the camper- why we always go Wednesday so as not to miss out on the pitwalk Thursday!

We always camp at elephant in Ster - it’s a bit quieter but enough going on, its about 15 mins walk to the main Eau Rouge entrance (as we are usually GA on the top straight its easier for us- the other campsites are at the other end of the track so yeah you get to the gate quick then tramp miles in the rain usually to where you want to be)- it’s a private site and secure (ie no crime etc) and as of last year they put on a shuttle bus service ( qa god send last year when we were all frozen solid and man with a broken foot!- that’s another story)- you can book it in advance or just tell the driver you need a ride- its family owned and  they are really nice peeps. The campsite itself is not too huge and the facilities are super clean (apart from the mud all around)! And the local pub in Ster is a must- it’s a piece of history and has not changed for over 50 years- and all drinks last year €1,20! It's where a lot of the marshals and locals hang out and a good place to go if it rains and you don’t particularly want to go to an Eddie Jordan concert! Otherwise all around make their own fun- and its great to meet people from all nationalities and fans from all teams having a laugh together!

And just for the record- I cannot imagine going to a GP other than camping- you meet just about everyone from all over the world – its fantastic and share food and drink- made some super friends!

We stayed at a campsite just outside Stavelot.  We booked through www.campingf1.com/spa-belgium.html.  It was a pretty place to camp but the field was rather lumpy!
